What a website and a Google profile cost a small business
Written by RioBridge Studio, with AI help and reviewed by a person, on November 3, 2026. We sell some of these services, so read it knowing that. Prices change: check them on the day you buy.
The short answer
There is no single price. What you pay depends on which of these parts you need, who does each one, and whether you pay once or every month. This guide tells you what each part is, so you can compare any offer, ours included.
What you pay for, part by part
| Part | What it is | How it is usually paid | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Domain | Your address on the internet (yourbusiness.com). | A yearly fee to a domain registrar. | The renewal price, not only the first year. It should be in your name. |
| Hosting | The place where your website lives. | Monthly or yearly. Sometimes included in a plan. | What happens to your site if you stop paying or change provider. |
| Building the website | Design, texts, photos and making it fast on phones. | Once (a setup fee) or spread inside a monthly plan. | How many pages, how many changes, and who owns the result. |
| Upkeep | Changes to hours, prices or menus, and checking that it still works. | Monthly, or per change. | How fast they make a change, and what is "extra". |
| Google Business Profile | Your listing on Google Search and Maps. | Creating it is free (Google says so). You only pay if someone manages it for you. | Anyone who charges you to "get on Google" as if it were paid. |
| Extras | Photos, translations, QR menus, print, videos. | Per piece or inside a plan. | Whether they are included or charged one by one. |
| Sales tax | Tax on some services. | Depends on your state and on the service. | Prices that don't say whether tax is included. |
What you can do yourself, for free
- Create and update your Google Business Profile: hours, photos, holidays and posts.
- Answer your reviews yourself, politely.
- Write down your hours, services and prices in one place, so any website you get later is correct.
Paying someone makes sense when you don't have the time, or when you want it done in two languages and kept up to date every month.
Questions to ask any agency (us too)
- Is the domain in my name, and what does it cost to renew?
- If I leave, do I keep my website and my accounts?
- Is there a long contract or a fee to cancel?
- What is not included in the monthly price?
- Is sales tax included in the price you are showing me?
- Do you need my passwords? (The right answer is no: access is given by invitation.)
Warning signs
- A promise of first place on Google. Google itself warns that nobody can promise you the top spot in its results.
- Discounts or gifts in exchange for reviews: Google does not allow it.
- The domain or the Google profile registered in the agency's name instead of yours.
What we charge
Our local plans start at 149 USD a month plus a one-time setup, and the AI receptionist at 99 USD a month. These are launch prices, plus sales tax where it applies. See the plans and the calculator.
